why you don't have to go birding in Taiwan to have get all endemic birds

my customer gets all of the 27 endemic full spp., and many distinct island forms/sub-species !! although they say due to my acute hearing & worked tirelessly to find as many birds as I could , but I think is due to their lucky !!
And don't forget the snorkeling is the most beautiful experience !! very happy to hear they say they enjoyed this trip !!












Ryukyu Scops-Owl , Endemic SSP. (O. e. botelensis)

The endemic botelensis form on Lanyu has historically been lumped in Ryukyu Scops Owl Otus elegans, but it has now been shown to differ morphologically and vocally from the birds in the Ryukyu Islands and is often treated as specifically distinct as (Elegant) Lanyu Scops-Owl.

Before and after the cold wave in Jan 2021 The cold wave brought several new records birds for Taiwan Bar-headed goose (Anser indicus) is a goose that breeds in Central Asia in colonies of thousands near mountain lakes and winters in South Asia, as far south as peninsular India It is known for the extreme altitudes it reaches when migrating across the Himalayas. We can't confirm why made it fly to Taiwan , but it attracts almost all Taiwan's birder & photographer to see it .  The photo was taken by my friend @penshing He is the author of a photographic guide book of Wild birds o Taiwan ( Chinese) The book can be published, due to borrowed many bird photos from my friends, he said modestly. . #taiwan #newrecord #birds #birding #birdwatching #nikon

Malayan Night Heron （Gorsachius melanolophus） From the English name " Malayan Night Heron " we can surmise they are mainly distributed in Malaysia and the Indo-China peninsula, but now those areas are not easy to see ( seems very diffcult ) In Taiwan, there are few fixed groups in central and southern hill area.
